General terms and conditions

LOX – Hair Atelier
These general terms and conditions apply to all treatments, appointments, purchases, offers and agreements of LOX – Hair Atelier , located in Zevenaar, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 71230696.
By making an appointment, placing an order in the webshop or purchasing a service, the customer agrees to these general terms and conditions.
1. Appointments, cancellations & no-shows
1.1 Appointments can be made via the online booking system, by telephone or in writing (for example via WhatsApp or email).
1.2 Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the start .
1.3 In case of cancellation within 48 hours before the start of the appointment, LOX – Hair Atelier is entitled to charge 50% of the amount of the booked treatment .
1.4 In case of a no-show (failure to appear without prior notice), the full amount of the booked treatment will be charged.
1.5 If the client arrives late and there is insufficient time left to complete the treatment, LOX – Hair Atelier reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the appointment, in which case the full costs may be charged.
2. Prices, quotations & payment
2.1 All stated prices are starting prices and include VAT , unless stated otherwise.
2.2 The final price depends on hair type, hair condition, duration, product use and complexity of the treatment.
2.3 Any additional work, extra product use or additional treatments will be discussed in advance .
2.4 Payment for salon treatments must be made immediately after the treatment , in cash or via payment request (for example Tikkie).
2.5 For extensive or customized treatments (such as extensions, hairpieces, or color corrections), a deposit may be required. Deposits are non-refundable .
2.6 In the event of late payment, the customer is legally in default and LOX – Hair Atelier is entitled to charge statutory interest and extrajudicial collection costs.
3. Execution of treatments
3.1 LOX – Hair Atelier performs treatments according to professional standards and with carefully selected quality products.
3.2 LOX – Hair Atelier reserves the right to refuse or terminate a treatment if:
  • the hair condition is insufficient;
  • safety or hair health cannot be guaranteed;
  • the customer has provided incorrect or incomplete information.
3.3 No rights can be derived from previous treatments regarding identical results, as each treatment depends on hair condition, maintenance and external factors.
4. Customer Obligations
4.1 The client is obliged to provide all relevant information before the treatment, including:
  • hair history and previous treatments;
  • medication use;
  • allergies or sensitivities;
  • medical conditions;
  • specific wishes or details.
4.2 LOX – Hair Atelier is not liable for damage or disappointing results resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.
5. Liability
5.1 LOX – Hair Atelier is liable for damage that is the direct and demonstrable result of a deficiency in the execution of the treatment or delivery.
5.2 Any liability is limited to the amount paid out in the relevant case by the liability insurance, plus the deductible.
5.3 LOX – Hair Atelier is not liable for:
  • damage to clothing, jewelry or personal property;
  • indirect damage or consequential damage;
  • damage caused by incorrect use of products.
6. Extensions, hairpieces & custom work
6.1 Treatments such as extensions, hairpieces and dreads are custom-made and are not covered by the right of withdrawal.
6.2 After placement, extensions and hairpieces cannot be returned or exchanged .
6.3 Refunds of payments are excluded.
6.4 The warranty on extensions only applies if:
  • the care advice is strictly followed;
  • Only products recommended by LOX – Hair Atelier are used.
7. Webshop – orders & delivery
7.1 Orders placed through the webshop are confirmed when payment has been successfully completed.
7.2 LOX – Hair Atelier strives for fast delivery, but stated delivery times are indicative and not strict deadlines.
7.3 If a product is not available, the customer will be informed of this as soon as possible.
7.4 Shipping will be made to the address provided by the customer. LOX – Hair Atelier is not liable for incorrectly entered address information.
8. Webshop – right of withdrawal (consumer law)
8.1 When purchasing online, the consumer has the right to cancel the agreement within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason, in accordance with the law.
8.2 The right of withdrawal is excluded for:
  • hygiene products where the seal has been broken;
  • custom products;
  • used or opened products.
8.3 During the cooling-off period, the customer must handle the product and packaging with care.
8.4 Returns must be registered in advance. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
8.5 After correct return receipt, the purchase amount will be refunded within 14 days .
9. Complaints
9.1 Complaints about treatments or webshop orders must be reported in writing as soon as possible , but no later than 7 days after discovery .
9.2 LOX – Hair Atelier will carefully assess the complaint and, if reasonable, propose an appropriate solution.
9.3 Filing a complaint does not release the customer from the payment obligation.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
10.1 Personal data are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) .
10.2 Data will only be used for the execution of services and orders and will not be provided to third parties without permission, unless required by law.
11. Intellectual property
11.1 All texts, images, designs and other content on this website are the property of LOX – Hair Atelier .
11.2 Use or reproduction without prior written permission is not permitted.
12. Applicable law & disputes
12.1 All agreements are exclusively governed by Dutch law .
12.2 Disputes will preferably be resolved by mutual agreement.
12.3 If this does not work, the dispute will be submitted to the competent court in the district in which LOX – Hair Atelier is located.
13. Changes
13.1 LOX – Hair Atelier reserves the right to change these general terms and conditions.
13.2 The most current version is always available on the website and applies to new agreements and orders.
